10,000 policemen Allotted for 2017 SEA Games Security

A total number of 10,000 or more Policemen in Kuala Lumpur will be there during the 2017 SEA Games which is to take place from August 19 to August 30. This information was confirmed by city Police chief Datuk Amar Singh. He also added that the city police are all ready to face any problems or events that may take place. They also many security drills, dubbed ‘Ex-Rimau’, this is done to make the team more strong and make them read every situation and the policeman faces any untoward incidents occur.

He also quoted, “ A total of 22 out of 38 events will be held in Kuala Lumpur, hence safety of the athletes and audiences are the top priority. Ample personnel will be tasked with patrolling the venue as well as to ensure quick response time if any incident happens,

They scheduled a total of about six security drills. Out of this six drills, five of them are done. The last and the sixth one will take place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium. They also quoted “ Six hundred Personnel were involved in today’s training aimed at preparing them to handle possible crises and security threats. The exercise also tests the effectiveness of planning, response time and the ability of the crisis response team:”. He also added that he was totally satisfied with last days exercise.
